Role Summary
Our manufacturing department is looking for a meticulous CNC Machinist to join the team. You will be responsible for programming and running CNC lathes and mills to manufacture high-precision parts that align with our rigorous quality benchmarks. Success in this position relies on your ability to interpret blueprints, manage machining workflows, and apply your technical programming skills to drive accurate and efficient production outputs.
Core Duties

Configure, run, and resolve issues on CNC mills and lathes utilizing Fanuc or comparable control interfaces.

Create, adjust, and refine CNC programming to improve operational efficiency.

Analyze and translate intricate technical schematics, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.

Utilize advanced measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMMs to confirm part accuracy.

Conduct regular equipment upkeep to guarantee optimal tooling performance and machine health.

Prepare and install necessary fixtures and tooling to meet specific production needs.

Assist the production engineering department with the design and development of new projects.

Keep precise records regarding production cycles, setup configurations, and quality inspections.

Help maintain high product standards by strictly following quality system protocols and specifications.

Collaborate closely with engineering and quality departments throughout the setup and initial production phases.

Uphold a tidy and efficient workspace by consistently applying 5S and safety standards.

Proactively spot potential hazards to help foster a safer working environment for the entire team.
Required Skills and Experience

Demonstrated history of working with CNC lathes and milling equipment.

Proficiency in utilizing Fanuc or equivalent CNC control systems.

Deep understanding of machining aluminum materials.

Advanced ability to interpret blueprints and apply GD&T concepts.

Strong mechanical background covering assembly, welding, tooling, and machining methods.

Competency in operating precision measurement devices like CMMs, bore gauges, micrometers, and calipers.

Mathematical proficiency for determining tolerances, speeds, feeds, and part dimensions.

Familiarity with the application of lean manufacturing methodologies.

Possession of a forklift certification is considered an advantage.

High level of focus on detail and the capacity to execute complex technical instructions.
Operational Setting
This role is based in a manufacturing facility characterized by a high-tempo atmosphere where quality and precision are the top priorities. The position involves frequent standing, the operation of heavy machinery, and the physical handling of materials.
