Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) Qualified Professional to join our team. The Supported Employment Program Director (QP) provides management and oversight of the Supported Employment Program as well as providing direct service. The Program Director is responsible for all required participant documentation including development and implementation of participants' individualized Person-Centered treatment plans. The Program Director directly supervises the Supported Employment staff providing formal supervision and documentation of supervision as required The Program Director is responsible for ensuring the Supported Employment Program stays in compliance with all NC DHHS Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities, NC Medicaid and MCO (Trillium) requirements.
Responsibilities
- Comply with The Arc of Greensboro's policies and procedures as they relate to the Supported Employment program.
- Ensure the program stays in compliance with all regulatory and funding requirements.
- Serve as a member of each participant's planning team and develop and ensure the implementation each participant's Person-Centered plan.
- Assist Supported Employment Staff in developing task analysis and strategies for teaching job skills.
- Problem-solve with Supported Employment staff around challenging situations. and support participants to make informed choices.
- Acts as an advocate for participants to protect their rights.
- Assist and support people to realize their goals and attain personal outcomes.
- Demonstrate positive regard for all participants and maintain an engaging, stimulating and respectful environment.
- Practice positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques.
- Complete all required data collection and documentation.
- Maintain an effective relationship with employers, parents, families, guardians and significant others.
- Maintain an effective and professional relationship with Care Managers and other team members.
- Practice Continuous Quality Improvement to evaluate and make program adjustments as needed.
- Provide formal supervision for the Supported Employment Job Coaches, including meeting documentation requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of all participant information.
- Maintain a flexible schedule as indicated by the needs of the program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- · Requires a bachelor’s degree in a human service field and two years of full-time, pre or post-bachelor’s degree accumulated supervised IDD experience with the population served -or -
- A bachelor's degree in a field other than human services and four years of full-time, pre- or post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised IDD experience with the population served - or -
- A Master’s degree in a human service field and one year of full-time, pre- or post-graduate degree accumulated supervised IDD experience with the population serve - or -
- A license, provisional license, or certificate permit issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession, including a registered nurse who is licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and four years of full-time accumulated experience in IDD with the population served.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to interact with individuals with a variety of Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities in a respectful and empowering manner.
· Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilize computer systems for entering required data.
· Ability to understand and comply with regulatory requirements.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with a variety of people. Ability to complete required documentation.
· Must be current or willing to become current and stay current in CPR/First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogens, and NCI Training.
· Must be able to pass an extensive criminal background check.
· Knowledge of current “best practices” in the field of IDD.
· Ability to work as part of a professional team.
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
