Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools promptly and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure proper storage of cleaned items
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or organizing ingredients when needed
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safety standards are met
- Keep the kitchen area tidy by disposing of waste properly and cleaning work surfaces regularly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or culinary environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food safety standards
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation regulations
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with bussing tables or supporting catering events is a plus but not mandatory
