You will collaborate with lead teachers to implement engaging lesson plans, promote literacy and math skills, and support children’s social and emotional growth. Duties
- Assist in developing and executing age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, and early childhood development principles.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including toddlers, preschoolers, and students with special needs such as autism or disabilities.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and social skills among children.
- Provide individualized attention to students, working with children who require additional support in areas such as communication skills or classroom participation.
- Help facilitate activities that enhance motor skills, cognitive development, and social interaction in line with Montessori or other educational philosophies.
- Assist with daily childcare routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions to ensure comfort and well-being.
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff on curriculum development efforts to continuously improve instructional methods and classroom experiences.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool settings, or private schools is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices related to early childhood education.
- Familiarity with special education techniques, including working with individuals with autism or disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience in lesson planning across subjects such as literacy education and math is preferred.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering an inclusive environment for all learners.
