We are seeking a detail-oriented experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage financial records and ensure accurate bookkeeping for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, proficiency accounting software, Microsoft Word, Excel and experience with both corporate and non-profit accounting.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting / bookkeeping roles, preferably within corporate or non-profit sectors
- Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Desktop accounting software
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, and accounting software including QuickBooks
- Ability to perform 10 key and typing accurately and efficiently for data entry tasks
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Handle payroll processing, deductions, and tax-related tasks with the IRS and State filings
- Experience with Reconciling the Balance Sheet, Bank Accounts, and Credit Cards
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate financial records
- Effective communication skills with staff, vendors, and or customers
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
