Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce proceedings, child custody disputes, alimony arrangements, and adoption processes.
- Prepare and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court depositions.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure adherence to procedural law requirements.
- Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to reach amicable settlements or prepare for trial when necessary.
- Manage case files efficiently using legal case management systems while maintaining clear communication with clients regarding case progress.
- Assist clients with related legal areas such as estate planning, immigration law, employment law, and personal injury law when relevant to family law cases.
- Prepare for trial by developing litigation strategies, gathering evidence, and participating in court depositions and hearings.

Experience
- Proven experience practicing family law with a strong understanding of statutory legal research and procedural law knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex litigation cases involving general & commercial litigation principles.
- Skilled in legal negotiation, client communication, and advocacy with a track record of successful case outcomes.
- Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis is essential for effective case preparation.
- Experience working within a law office environment managing multiple cases simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Background in related fields such as estate planning, employment law, or personal injury law is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal motions, contracts, and settlement agreements coupled with trial preparation expertise.
