Qualifications:
· Law enforcement officers with a minimum of 10 years’ experience of active service or retired in good standing from the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards.
· Must be able to work weekdays and/or weekends.
· Must have basic computer skills, strong interpersonal and verbal skills.
· Executive Protection experience.
Officer Basic Job Responsibilities:
· Customer service.
· Professionally dressed.
· Light lifting of merchandise bins.
· Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance cameras and communications, controlling access points into Tapper’s retail, control customer flow into stores.
· Assist in investigating security breaches, incidents and other alarming behavior from suspicious people or customers on property.
· Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities.
· Maintain the organization’s reputation by complying with policies and procedures.
· Contribute to the security team by fulfilling security commitments and assignments.
Security Qualifications and Skills:
· Current CPL
· Retirement I.D. from Police Agency
· Must pass background investigation.
· Basic computer skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication skills.
· Excellent sense of judgement.
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Post secondary education is preferred.
· State certified Law Enforcement Experience required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, including patrolling and moving throughout the property, monitoring surveillance systems, operating a computer and other security equipment, communicating effectively with customers and team members, preparing written reports, and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise bins.
