Job Overview
This is a sub-contract 1099 position. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cabinet Installer and trim carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing custom and pre-fabricated cabinets in residential and remodeling projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets precise specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to transforming spaces with precision craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to accurately install cabinets according to specifications.
- Measure dimensional requirements precisely using tape measures and other hand tools to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Use power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently for cutting, fastening, and finishing cabinet components.
- Install fixtures, trim carpentry, doors, moldings, and other building materials related to cabinet installation projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to coordinate schedules and address any on-site challenges promptly.
- Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to ensure adherence to blueprint specifications and safety standards.
- Assist with remodeling projects by installing flooring, tile masonry, stucco, or other related finishes as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and estimating processes.
- Experience with construction inspection, site safety protocols, and heavy equipment operation.
- Skilled in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and measuring devices like tape measures.
- Expertise in building material installation including cabinetry, trim carpentry, flooring, tile laying, roofing, plastering, concrete forming, welding, and masonry.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems relevant to fixture installation or remodeling projects.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics for fixtures such as glass installations or fixture mounting systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety compliance and quality standards.
