Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful difference in a child’s life by supporting a third-grade student as their dedicated 1:1 nurse for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract assignment spans from August 24, 2025, through June 9, 2026, providing consistent, full-time hours and the opportunity to work closely with a young learner who relies on both a tracheostomy and ventilator. You’ll ensure their safety and well-being from home pick-up in the morning, throughout the school day, and back home each afternoon.
Key Qualifications:
- Current LPN/LVN or RN licensure, active and in good standing
- School nurse experience, or pediatric nursing background highly preferred
- Expertise in caring for patients with tracheostomy and ventilator dependency
- Ability to work independently and adapt to the needs of a single student
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality care in a school setting
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide expert, attentive care to a third-grade student throughout each school day
- Perform all necessary nursing duties related to trach and vent management, including suctioning and emergency responses as needed
- Accompany the student during bus rides (morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off)
- Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and the student’s family to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
This contract opportunity offers a predictable weekday schedule, with working hours from 7:20 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 paid hours per week.
