We are looking for someone to construct duct work and fittings for our HVAC construction projects. This role will operate machines to prepare sheet metal into duct work parts and pieces for HVAC systems in our commercial and residential buildings. This individual must be able to learn the basics of hvac systems for proper application of the sheet metal products being fabricated.
The Ideal candidate is reliable, can show up on time to work Monday through Friday, possesses a strong attention to detail, and is excited to master a task and perform that task each day safely, efficiently, and effectively.
This position generally works in an indoor manufacturing environment. It is regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts, and the noise level is usually loud. This role will also spend some time on construction and replacement sites so must be comfortable working at height.
Job Summary & Essential Functions:
Duties may include the set up and operation of various machines, hand tools, and pneumatic tools which may heat, bend, form, press, stretch, shrink, straighten, notch, punch, roll, cut, refine, grind, drill, machine or otherwise change the original shape of various sheet metal to engineered drawings, tools or customer specifications.
- Be able to set equipment controls and timers.
- Set up machinery and templates.
- Be familiar with machine operation and controls.
- Be capable of making any necessary adjustments ensuring the quality of parts remains consistent.
- Be able to refine parts for cosmetic or other customer-specified reasons.
- Use precision measuring tools in set ups and quality assurance.
- Use necessary inspection resources to ensure consistent quality.
- Have a familiarity with machine maintenance and upkeep for the machine being utilized.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as necessary.
- Attendance is an essential function of the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required by the position.

- Strong mechanical aptitude required.

- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

- Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Work safely following company policies
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to pass drug screen, background check, and POET.
- High School diploma or equivalent, or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Current MO or KS driver’s license
- Able to continually push, pull, lift, grasp, hold, carry, reach, reach above the shoulders, stoop, bend at the waist, bend at the knee, kneel, bend side to side, crouch, stand on step stools or small ladders and balance.
