Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck to deliver goods across designated local routes while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Ensure timely delivery by planning efficient routes and managing delivery schedules effectively
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups
- Use mobile devices to document deliveries, update route information, and communicate with dispatch teams
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with heavy lifting protocols
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; no CDL required but experience with commercial truck driving is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with professional communication abilities
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe lifting practices
- Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and documentation
