About The Role
Leighton Panoff Law is seeking an experienced, organized, and proactive Paralegal/Case Manager to join our growing plaintiff's personal injury and medical malpractice litigation team. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in managing complex cases from intake through resolution.
The ideal candidate will have experience in medical malpractice and/or catastrophic personal injury litigation, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently while providing outstanding client service. You will play an integral role in every stage of litigation, including presuit investigations, discovery, expert coordination, trial preparation and ongoing client communication.

Duties
- Plaintiff or Defense Medical Malpractice litigation experience required
- Spanish fluency required
- Obtain, organize, and summarize medical and billing records
- Maintain and update billing amounts in Excel
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, treatment and case development
- Conduct new client intakes and prepare case sign-up packages
- Draft and assist with discovery requests and responses
- Assist with presuit notices, investigations, and responses
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, trials, physician conferences, client meetings, and defense counsel conferences
- Schedule court reporters, interpreters, and expert witness conferences
- Prepare and organize expert witness records and case materials
- Maintain case calendars, docket deadlines, trial orders, and reminders
- Review judicial calendars, procedures, and scheduling requirements
- E-file pleadings in Florida State and Federal Courts
- Open and maintain electronic and physical case files in TrialWorks and firm document management systems
- Assist with locating and serving witnesses when necessary
- Prepare closing statement documentation, including verification of medical bills and liens
- Maintain an accurate case list and provide daily case activity and status updates
- Keep case notes, correspondence, and litigation status current and organized

Pay: From $71,500.00 per year
