Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our providers and ensuring a positive patient experience. You will assist with both clinical and administrative duties while helping maintain efficient office operations.
Responsibilities
Room patients and obtain vital signs

Prepare charts and review patient information prior to appointments
-
Assist providers during examinations and procedures
-
Administer injections and perform basic clinical tasks as directed

Collect and document patient histories
-
Coordinate laboratory testing and communicate results as directed
-
Process prescription refill requests
-
Answer phones and assist patients with scheduling needs
-
Manage incoming faxes, scan documents, and maintain accurate medical records

Assist with prior authorizations and referrals
-
Help support billing and revenue cycle activities, including reviewing documentation for completeness

Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies
-
Follow HIPAA and all applicable healthcare regulations

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required

Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required
-
Previous medical office experience required

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Current BLS certification preferred
