Laser Operator - 3rd Shift
The Bionic Welder in Granbury, TX is looking to hire a full-time 3rd Shift Laser Operator.
We run Trumpf lasers and are looking for someone dependable who can keep the machine running, pay attention to cut quality, and keep parts organized. Prior laser experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider the right person if they have good shop experience, forklift experience, and can work independently.
This is a night shift position, so we need someone who can show up on time, stay on task, and handle the responsibility of working with limited supervision.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Running Trumpf laser cutting machines
- Operating the laser during 3rd shift
- Keeping the laser cutting and watching for issues
- Removing and organizing laser-cut parts
- Checking parts for quality and accuracy
- Watching for bad cuts, tip-ups, material issues, or machine problems
- Cutting mild steel, stainless, aluminum, and other materials as needed
- Working with material from roughly 14 gauge up to 1/2"
- Loading sheets through automation
- Using a forklift to move material and parts
- Reading work orders, cut lists, and shop paperwork
- Changing consumables and handling basic machine upkeep
- Cleaning the machine area and keeping the laser area organized
- Communicating any problems clearly with the day shift or shop lead
What We’re Looking For
- Laser operator experience is preferred
- Trumpf laser experience is a big plus
- Forklift experience is required
- Must be able to work 3rd shift
- Must be dependable and able to show up on time
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Able to follow work orders and instructions
- Good attention to detail
- Able to keep parts organized by job
- Comfortable working around sheet metal, plate, and fabrication equipment
- Able to recognize when something does not look right and speak up
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is helpful:
- Trumpf lasers
- CNC laser cutting
- Nesting or programming
- Forklift operation
- Sheet and plate handling
- Reading cut lists or shop drawings
- Basic computer or machine control operation
- General fabrication shop experience
- Basic maintenance, consumables, and machine cleaning
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 10:30 PM-6:30 AM
- Must have forklift experience
- Must be able to stand, lift, bend, and work around steel
- Must be able to work in a fabrication shop environment
- Safety gear is provided by the shop
- Background check or drug test may be required as needed
- No smoking or vaping on site
