HOURS: 8-hour workdays (40 hours per week)
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday; 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

HVAC Chiller Service Technician Job Description:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and retrofits on air-cooled and water-cooled chillers and water/steam boilers
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on commercial chillers, boilers, and related HVAC equipment
- Service supporting equipment including compressors, purge units, cooling towers, pumps, motors, valves, and large unitary equipment
- Complete major repairs on chillers and boiler systems
- Maintain accurate refrigeration and equipment operation logs
- Recover refrigerant and replace components, gaskets, seals, and bearings in accordance with EPA guidelines
- Perform boiler inspections and preventative maintenance tear-downs per Connecticut state code
- Keep all required trade licenses and certifications current
- Follow EPA Section 608 regulations and all federal, state, and local safety requirements
- Attend required safety training and follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Interact professionally with clients while maintaining a clean and professional appearance
- Work overtime and weekends as business demands require
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications for HVAC Chiller Service Technician:
- Connecticut D2 or S2 License, or Refrigeration License from an accredited institution required
- EPA Certification required
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC experience
- Experience servicing commercial chillers and boiler systems
- Clean driving record required
- Boiler and steam system experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting, repair, and diagnostic skills
Additional Requirements for HVAC Chiller Service Technician:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
- Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., occasionally lift up to 100 lbs., and seldom lift over 100 lbs.
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb ladders and stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work safely around commercial mechanical equipment
- Must maintain a clean, professional appearance and follow all required safety practices
