Coucou is seeking a warm, organized, and hospitality-driven Host to join our team.
We are a lively French-inspired neighborhood restaurant with locations in Venice, West Hollywood, and Manhattan Beach, known for welcoming service, vibrant dining rooms, and a strong sense of community.
Our hosts are the first impression of Coucou. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, stays calm and gracious in a busy environment, and takes pride in creating a great guest experience from the moment someone walks through the door.
What You’ll Do
- Must have experience using Resy
- Greet guests warmly and manage the flow of the dining room
- Manage reservations and walk-ins
- Maintain organized seating charts and communicate table availability with the service team
- Answer phones and assist with guest inquiries
- Maintain the presentation of the entrance, host stand, and dining room
- Communicate clearly with servers, bussers, and managers to keep service running smoothly
- Jump in wherever needed. We are a team-first environment (for example: refilling waters, clearing plates, running food, as the business requires)
What We’re Looking For
- Previous host experience in a busy, full-service restaurant
- Resy experience required
- Warm, polished, and professional presence
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking
- Strong communication skills and a team-first mentality
- Flexible availability is important. Coucou operates three locations, and while you will have a primary location, you may occasionally be asked to work at another Coucou restaurant based on business needs. This position is expected to have flexibility to support the team across locations when needed.
Compensation + Training
- $25/hour
- Coucou is a no-tipping establishment, providing a flat, predictable hourly rate
- The position begins with a two-week training period paid at the applicable minimum wage, with the regular hourly rate beginning upon successful completion of training
