Sacred Heart Catholic Church is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Seasonal Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and care of parish facilities and grounds. This role assists with general maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for parishioners, staff, and visitors during peak seasons.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on parish buildings and equipment
- Assist with groundskeeping, including mowing, trimming, landscaping, and seasonal clean-up
- Set up and break down spaces for parish events, liturgies, and special functions
- Monitor facilities for safety hazards and report or address issues as needed
- Assist with basic custodial duties such as cleaning, trash removal, and upkeep of common areas
- Support seasonal projects such as snow removal, leaf collection, or special maintenance tasks
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow all safety protocols and parish guidelines while completing assigned tasks
- Prior maintenance, custodial, or groundskeeping experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repair tools, and equipment operation
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take direction as needed
- Flexible availability, including occasional evenings or weekends if required
