Summary
seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Mechanic with extensive experience in liquid food and beverage manufacturing. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing production and packaging equipment to ensure maximum uptime, product quality, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with liquid processing systems, filling and packaging equipment, pumps, net-weight filling systems, conveyors, and automated production machinery. This individual will also travel to support equipment installations, startups, vendor coordination, and maintenance initiatives at other company locations. Essential Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain liquid processing and packaging equipment. Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery. Maintain and repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, piping systems, conveyors, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and work with controls technicians as needed. Maintain and calibrate net-weight filling equipment and liquid filling systems.
Support bottle filling, capping, labeling, case packing, palletizing, and conveying equipment. Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics. Install, commission, and optimize new production equipment. Travel to company facilities and vendor sites to support equipment installations, maintenance projects, and production startups. Coordinate with Operations, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and work orders. Ensure compliance with all food safety, GMP, OSHA, SQF, and company safety standards. Recommend equipment improvements to increase reliability and efficiency. Assist with capital improvement projects and equipment upgrades. Mentor and provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians.
Required Qualifications 7+ years of maintenance experience in liquid food, edible oil, beverage, dairy, juice, wine, spirits, or similar manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of: Liquid processing systems Centrifugal and positive displacement pumps 이 Net-weight filling systems Liquid filling machines Conveyors 이 Packaging equipment Pneumatic and hydraulic systems Mechanical power transmission Motors, bearings, gearboxes, and drives Experience troubleshooting automated production equipment. Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings. Experience performing equipment installations and startups. Strong root-cause analysis and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 40%. Preferred Qualifications Experience in edible oils, olive oil, beverage, or other liquid food manufacturing. Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar). Welding and fabrication experience (MIG/TIG preferred). Experience with VFDs, instrumentation, and process controls. Knowledge of sanitary piping, CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems, and food-grade processing equipment. Food manufacturing experience working under SQF, GMP, HACCP, or FDA regulations. Physical Requirements Frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
