Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective tenants via phone, email, and in-person visits, providing detailed property information and answering questions confidently.
- Conduct property tours, highlighting features and benefits to upsell units effectively.
- Manage leasing documentation, including contracts, applications, and legal paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with landlord-tenant law.
- Utilize Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS systems for data entry, lease processing, and maintaining accurate resident records.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to facilitate property upkeep and address resident concerns promptly.
- Stay informed on Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8 policies, and other legal requirements to ensure all leasing activities adhere to federal and state laws.
- Develop strong customer relationships through excellent phone etiquette, conflict management skills, and personalized service that encourages lease renewals and referrals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles with a focus on customer service.
- Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing, Landlord-Tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and related legal frameworks.
- Proficiency in Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software; experience with data entry and filing is essential.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to upsell units effectively while maintaining transparency.
- Office experience including contracts management, filing systems, phone etiquette, and conflict resolution.
- Familiarity with facilities management concepts such as property maintenance coordination and CMMS tools is a plus.
