Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling duties efficiently while ensuring accuracy through proper cashiering procedures
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by engaging with guests and addressing their needs promptly
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures during preparation and serving
- Assist with basic prep tasks to support the team during busy periods while adhering to health standards
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly between tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with serving beverages in a café or retail setting is a plus
