About the Role
Best Choice Plumbing & HVAC is hiring an experienced Service Manager to lead, coach, and improve our plumbing and HVAC service department.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who understands field service, technician performance, dispatch communication, customer experience, callbacks, revenue goals, and team accountability.
We are not looking for someone who wants to manage from behind a desk. We are looking for a strong service leader who can support technicians in the field, improve daily performance, solve problems, coach the team, and help build a more organized, profitable, and professional service department.
The right candidate may come from a background as a Service Manager, Field Supervisor, Lead Technician, Senior Technician, Operations Manager, or strong technician ready to step into leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support plumbing and HVAC service technicians
- Coach technicians on diagnostics, customer communication, documentation, and job closeout
- Review service calls, estimates, invoices, callbacks, and technician performance
- Help improve revenue, average ticket, close rate, memberships, and customer satisfaction
- Reduce callbacks, poor documentation, missed opportunities, and avoidable customer issues
- Work closely with dispatch and office staff to improve scheduling, job flow, and communication
- Hold technicians accountable to company standards, safety expectations, and customer experience
- Support field issues, technical questions, escalated customers, and difficult jobs
- Review ServiceTitan notes, photos, estimates, invoices, and completed jobs
- Train, mentor, and develop technicians into stronger performers
- Communicate regularly with ownership on department performance, problems, and opportunities
- Help build a culture of professionalism, accountability, clean work, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Plumbing, HVAC, or home service experience
- Prior leadership experience as a service manager, field supervisor, lead technician, senior technician, or similar role
- Strong understanding of service calls, repairs, replacements, field operations, and technician performance
- Ability to coach, train, and hold technicians accountable
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work with technicians, dispatch, office staff, managers, and ownership
- Comfortable reviewing estimates, invoices, job notes, photos, callbacks, and closeout details
- Organized, reliable, process-driven, and solution-focused
- Valid driver’s license
Strongly Preferred Experience
- Plumbing and HVAC service management experience
- ServiceTitan experience
- Experience managing technician KPIs
- Experience improving average ticket, close rate, memberships, revenue, callbacks, and customer satisfaction
- Experience with ride-alongs, field coaching, call reviews, and technician training
- Experience handling escalated customers
- Experience working with dispatch teams and service departments
- Experience building systems, processes, and accountability during company growth

Schedule
Full-time leadership position. Schedule flexibility is required based on technician support, field needs, training, customer escalations, and business demands.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
