Wingate Management Company is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Albany, NY. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in solving problems, providing excellent resident service, and maintaining a community to the highest standards.
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
On-Call Rotation Every 3rd Week

What You Will Do
- Complete maintenance and repair work with a strong emphasis on plumbing, along with minor electrical repairs, painting, sheetrock repair, appliance repair, and general maintenance tasks.

Perform apartment turnovers, ensuring vacant units are move-in ready through quality repairs, painting, cleaning coordination, and inspections.

Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner while delivering excellent customer service.

Perform routine property inspections and proactively identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues.

Maintain common areas, grounds, and building systems while assisting with seasonal responsibilities, including snow removal.

Participate in the on-call rotation every third week and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.

Apartment maintenance experience is required.

Minimum of 3 years of maintenance technician experience in multifamily housing.

Strong plumbing experience required, with working knowledge of minor electrical repairs, painting, sheetrock repair, and apartment turnovers.

Ability to use computers, mobile devices, and maintenance software for work orders and communication.

Valid driver's license required and reliable transportation preferred. HVAC/EPA Certification is a plus.
