The Linen Distribution Technician / Linen Room Coordinator is responsible for the efficient distribution of clean linen, collection of soiled linen, inventory management, and exceptional customer service within a healthcare environment. This role ensures that linen services are delivered safely, accurately, and in accordance with hospital policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Deliver clean linen in covered carts to designated customer areas in a safe and timely manner.

Collect soiled linen from assigned locations and transport it in covered carts to designated collection areas.

Verify and document linen quantities to ensure accurate distribution and inventory control.

Conduct routine linen inventories and assist with par level management.

Address and resolve customer concerns related to linen availability, quality, and service.

Communicate customer issues, inventory shortages, and linen quality concerns to supervisors promptly.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing responsive, professional service.

Support department quality initiatives and ensure compliance with established service standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Follow all facility policies, procedures, and operational requirements.

Operate departmental equipment safely and efficiently as needed.

Adhere to all safety policies, infection prevention protocols, and environmental standards.

Perform basic administrative and clerical duties, including data entry, answering phones, and completing reports.

Comply with Joint Commission standards and other applicable healthcare regulations.

Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred: 1–2 years of experience in healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or a related service environment.

Ability to operate carts, storage systems, dispensing equipment, and other department-related equipment.

Healthcare and hospital environments requiring adherence to infection control and safety protocols.

May require working evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs dictate.
