1. Lead the District's strategic communications program by planning, implementing,
and evaluating internal and external communications that promote the District's
mission, Strategic Plan, Board priorities, and public trust.
2. Advise the Superintendent, Board of Education, and executive leadership
regarding communications strategy, stakeholder engagement, crisis
communications, public perception, organizational reputation, and emerging
communication issues.
3. Lead the District's marketing, branding, and public image initiatives by
establishing communication standards, branding guidelines, messaging protocols,
and promotional strategies that strengthen community trust and support student
success.
4. Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive District communications and
community relations plan aligned with the District's Strategic Plan and Board
priorities, utilizing performance metrics, communication analytics, and
stakeholder feedback to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
5. Direct the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous
improvement of the District's communication platforms, including the District
website, newsletters, digital communications, and social media, ensuring
consistent, accurate, accessible, and timely communication across all District
platforms.
6. Oversee the District's social media strategy and digital presence by monitoring
content, engagement, online reputation, and emerging communication trends
while ensuring brand integrity and compliance with District standards.
7. Manage the planning, production, and strategic use of photography, videography,
publications, marketing materials, and other multimedia resources to effectively
communicate District programs, initiatives, achievements, and events.
8. Serve as the District's official media spokesperson and primary communications
liaison with the media, community organizations, civic leaders, governmental
agencies, business partners, and other external stakeholders.
9. Represent the District at Board meetings, school functions, community events,
and other assigned activities, including evening and weekend events, serving as
the communications representative as appropriate.
10. Cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborate with District leaders, schools,
community organizations, businesses, governmental agencies, higher education
institutions, alumni organizations, foundations, and other stakeholders to
strengthen communication, engagement, and support for District priorities.
11. Collaborate with District leaders to proactively identify communication
opportunities, coordinate messaging, anticipate emerging issues, and support
organizational initiatives through effective and strategic communications.
12. Coordinate District-wide recognition programs, staff events, community
engagement activities, and other initiatives that celebrate the accomplishments of
students, staff, volunteers, and community partners while reinforcing the District's
culture and values.
13. Support District-affiliated organizations, foundations, alumni associations, and
strategic partnerships by providing communications leadership and oversight,
