White River Valley Middle School, a close-knit and student-centered 68 public school located in the beautiful community of Bethel, VT, is seeking a passionate and organized Activities Director to lead and grow our 68 athletics, wellness, and arts programs.Position Summary: The Activities Director will oversee all aspects of our extracurricular/athletic programming, promoting sportsmanship, physical health, teamwork, and school spirit. This is a part-time stipend position ideal for someone who believes in the power of youth sports and wants to make a meaningful impact on student development in the Middle Grades.Key Responsibilities: Organize and manage seasonal sports teams and after-school athletic activitiesRecruit, support, and coordinate coaches and volunteersDevelop athletic schedules, secure facilities, and coordinate transportation as neededPromote student participation, equity in sports access, and team-building experiencesQualifications: Experience working with youth in educational or athletic settingsStrong organizational and communication skillsCoaching experience and knowledge of youth athletics preferredCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
