Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision
- Operate POS systems such toast or square to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders clearly, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Handle cashing out customers, managing cash handling procedures, and balancing registers at shift’s end
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Assist in preparation tasks, including preparing syrups and maintaining inventory levels
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience required.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is highly desirable
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, and serving protocols in a café or food industry setting
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality to ensure smooth daily operations
