Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Business Office Accounting Clerk with a strong understanding of dealership accounting operations and hands-on experience using CDK. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounting functions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency with various financial software, and experience in both corporate and governmental accounting environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile vehicle inventory transactions, including retail and wholesale deals
- Post deals accurately in CDK
- Handle DMV and title processing, including registration, title transfers, and follow-up
- Maintain accurate vehicle inventory schedules and reconciliations
- Process floorplan payoffs, wholesale purchases, and intercompany transfers
- Support month-end closing procedures related to inventory and sales accounting
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and state regulations
- Review and process vehicle inventories into corresponding dealer’s locations
- Submit payments
- Complete daily billings
- Complete weekly schedule reviews
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years of automotive dealership business office experience (required)
- Proficiency in CDK (required)
- Strong knowledge of vehicle inventory accounting, retail and wholesale transactions
- Experience with DMV/title processing
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced dealership environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-rooftop dealership groups
- Prior exposure to floorplan lenders and inventory reconciliations
