TAP Plastics is seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Manager to help lead the daily operation of our custom fabrication shop in Lynnwood, Washington.
This position is ideal for an experienced fabricator, shop lead, production coordinator, cabinet shop employee, sign shop professional, or manufacturing technician who enjoys organizing workflow, solving problems, and producing high-quality custom work.
The Fabrication Shop Manager works closely with the Store Manager to coordinate shop activities, support shop employees, maintain quality standards, and help ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.

Our shops produce a wide variety of custom projects including glazing panels, displays, protective barriers, machine guards, marine applications, fabricated components, and custom plastic solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

Responsibilities
· Coordinate the daily operation and workflow of the fabrication shop
· Monitor cutting and fabrication job boards to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time
· Assign work priorities and provide technical guidance to shop employees
· Train employees on fabrication techniques, equipment operation, and safe work practices
· Maintain quality standards and ensure work meets company expectations
· Promote proper use of equipment and required safety practices
· Communicate regularly with the Store Manager regarding shop workload, lead times, and production schedules
· Assist sales staff with technical guidance and fabrication recommendations
· Review larger project estimates and support complex customer projects
· Maintain shop equipment, tools, material inventory, and an organized work environment
· Identify opportunities to improve workflow and shop efficiency
Qualifications
· Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, production, sign, cabinet, woodworking, plastics, marine, or related shop environments
· Experience coordinating workflow or leading shop operations preferred
· Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work orders
· Experience with table saws, routers, band saws, drills, and other fabrication equipment
· Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
· Comfortable interacting with customers, employees, and management
· Reliable transportation and willingness to travel occasionally within the region
· Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Schedule
Full-time position averaging 40 hours per week.
Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Closed Sundays and many holidays.
