Duties
- Prepare ingredients and components for menu items, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Follow recipes and menu specifications accurately to maintain flavor profiles and presentation standards
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently
- Cook menu items with precision, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Support kitchen staff during busy periods by managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to uphold health regulations and safety standards
Experience
- Hands-on experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Culinary experience including knife skills, cooking techniques, and food presentation
- Familiarity with catering services and serving in fast-paced kitchen settings
- Strong understanding of kitchen procedures, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Experience working with dietary restrictions or special dietary needs is a plus
