Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable afterschool enrichment coaches to be apart of our ever growing team. Strategic Kids offers a plethora of different enrichment programs to our partners and we're looking for candidates to join the following programs.
- Visual Arts (comic creators, mosaic biomes, illustration)
- Clay Art
- Lego
- Field games and sports (Masters of the Field program)
- Chess
- Dance
School Year Position
We are seeking individuals who have an understanding that these positions start in the upcoming school year in August. Candidates that are selected for the position will participate in paid training over the summer and have opportunities to receive hours in our summer programs but hours are more limited.
- Three day training program
- Office hours at the office for curriculum workshops
- On site training between June-July
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Lead engaging enrichment programs for the students we serve
✔ Clocking in/out daily with our scheduling software
✔ Master the curriculum
✔ Attend program meetings and special events
✔ Collaborate with other instructors and administrators
✔ Responsible for taking daily attendance
✔ Supporting our community partners with student supervision, homework help, etc.
Qualifications
✔ Must be 18 years or older
✔ A minimum of one year experience working with Elementary Age Children
✔ Afterschool program experience
✔ Classroom management
✔ Reliable transportation
✔ General Knowledge of the program you select
✔ Four days of availability minimum
✔ Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and transport equipment from school to school
✔ Must be able to stand for one hour blocks
Sample Schedule:
Mondays: 1:45 - 5:00 pm
Tuesdays: 1:45 - 5:00 pm
Wednesdays: 12:45 - 4:00 pm
Thursdays: 1:45 - 5:00 pm
Fridays: 1:45 - 5:00 pm
Average 15-20 hours per week
Pay & Benefits
✔ 24$/hour + daily stipend for a mileage reimbursement
