We are looking for a Controls Engineer to join a leading manufacturing firm based in Metro Detroit for a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.
Core Duties:

Develop comprehensive electrical control system designs and produce detailed schematics in AutoCAD for both new assembly machinery and equipment retrofits.

Collaborate with the engineering department to select essential robotic welding components, such as weld guns, torches, cabling, and various tool-changing or cleaning peripherals, to ensure optimal system performance.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and develop PLC and HMI software directly on the production floor to keep operations running smoothly.
This position is a salaried, full-time role that functions as a key part of our staff, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.
Professional Background:

Possession of a four-year degree in a relevant field, or at least five years of professional experience, or a balanced mix of both education and practical training.

Proficiency in utilizing Fanuc programming and Allen Bradley Microview software to support technical operations.

Expertise in Motoman robotic programming to enhance our automated processes.
