Position Overview Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Central New Jersey, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead their AR function. This role oversees day-to-day billing, invoicing, and collections operations while mentoring an AR Specialist and partnering closely with Customer Service and Finance. Success in this role looks like accurate, on-time customer billing, well-managed receivables aging, and measurable improvements to cash flow and working capital.

- Supervise and mentor the AR Specialist, including assigning work, training, and performance management
- Ensure internal controls are in place and maintain compliance with Finance and company policy, including proper documentation of billings and invoices
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and drive timely cash collections to optimize customer relationships and cash flow
- Oversee and perform customer invoicing, resolve billing discrepancies, complete financial reconciliations, and ensure accurate data entry
- Proactively identify and escalate risk to management as needed
- Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and AR-related transactions
- Assist with company cash forecasting and analytics
- Monitor and drive working capital improvement initiatives, ensuring an audit-ready balance sheet and optimized cash conversion
- Provide operational support for inventory optimization and capital expenditures; identify process improvement opportunities and perform ad hoc analysis as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent related experience
- 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable or accounting; FP&A experience a plus
- Manufacturing industry background required
- Hands-on experience with an ERP system
- Strong AR leadership/supervisory experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
