A Landscape Crew Leader Overview
In business since 1969, we are seeking dedicated and hungry, current or even aspiring industry Crew Leaders, to execute our suite of estate care services while leading, or while on (as a crew member) a 2-3 person softscape installation crew or a 2 person landscape maintenance crew. Ideal candidates will possess strong intrinsic leadership skills, a background in landscaping (skills matter, not years of service), and the ability to communicate and supervise your team effectively as you work with them in the field. You will also work year-round on trees and shrubs, even if there is NO SNOW.

Field Duties as a Crew Leader (Crew Member works under them)
- Prepare equipment in the morning (2 full time mechanics to assist you)
- Prepare materials for the day (Director of Operations sources and has available ahead of time)
- Organize and motivate your crew to meet the objective of the Work Order (Work Order sent to you the day prior, is HIGHLY detailed, and your Crew Members will have gone through our Landscape Ground Operations program)
- Professional and defensive driving (Safety meetings in PowerPoint to support you)
- Work hard WITH your team (easy to do when the others here will work hard alongside you!)
- Record data for billing (team of people in the office to assist you)
- Tasks you will lead and execute: Spring Clean-Up, Edging, Mulching, Ornamental Tree and Shrub Pruning, Fall Clean-Up, Tree/Shrub/Perennial/Annual Planting, Planting bed Renovations, Grading, Drainage and Ground Saturation Solutions, Lawn Installation (Seed or Sod), Snow and Ice Management, Assisting Tree Production Crews in Winter, and General Landscape Maintenance.
Landscape Sales Representatives Duties
- Meet with clients and leads, educate, create and close proposals, create Work Order Packets, meet with crews, and answer crew/operations/billing questions.
Crew Leader Qualifications
- Valid WI Driver's License
- Insurable driving record
- Ability to pass a hair follicle (not urine) drug test (goes back 90 days)
- Communicative with team and clients (in person and via text)
- Ability to accurately record data and use time data in the field to hit production goals
- A professional past that includes success in the landscape industry is preferred, but not required
- 3.0 license is preferred, but not required (We can help you obtain)

Compensation
- Varies widely and is ALWAYS competitive, based on YOUR skillset and contributions, knowledge, certification level, and ATTITUDE of course!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
