Territory: Primarily the 16 County Chicago Metro area, and neighboring counties in northeast Indiana (Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Lake, DeKalb, Kane, DuPage, Cook, La Salle, Kendall, Will, Gundy, Kankakee, Livingston, Iroquois, and Ford). Territories may be adjusted when deemed necessary by management.
Job Description: Visu-Sewer, LLC. is one of the largest full-service trenchless sewer inspection, maintenance, and rehabilitation companies in the mid-west. We work with collection system owners and consulting engineers to cost effectively identify and remediate collection system defects to extend design life and achieve optimum performance.
We are seeking a highly motivated sales representative with a preferred 2-5 years of B2B/ municipality/ wastewater industry outside sales experience. Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills needed.

Responsibilities: This is a highly visible position in an established territory. The representative shall manage, maintain, and develop relationships with over 2,000 existing and potential clients in the territory. The representative must be comfortable calling on all client levels (e.g., public works directors, municipal and consulting engineers, collection system managers, municipal employees, and commercial industries). Periodic overnight travel and significant local travel within the territory is required (average of 2,500 miles per month). Specific duties:
· Make appointments, cold calls and telephone contact with existing/potential clients including consulting engineers, municipalities, sanitary districts, and industries within the assigned area. Goal of twenty-five face-to-face contacts per week. Call reports are turned in on a weekly basis with contact meeting notes.
· Close sales in conjunction with estimating and management personnel by educating clients about products and selling services available to solve their collection system inspection, maintenance and rehabilitation needs.
o Recommend solutions based on individual problem circumstances and our capabilities.
o Project sites visits to gather information needed to determine appropriate equipment, personnel and accessibility for pricing and project execution.
o Generate project specific proposals, detailed project job sheets and related project information in a timely manner to aid operations in executing projects sold.
o Work with municipal and consulting engineers to develop proper project specifications.
· Assist the estimating department with bid projects.
o Deliver bid packages by deadlines when needed.
o Gather project site information for bid projects when needed.
o Prepare written quotes for general contractors when needed.
· Notify management of sales activities including approximate timing for company proposals and bid submittals.
· Attendance and active membership in local and regional professional meetings and associations. (Includes: Developing and delivering presentations to key accounts and associations.)
· Provide budget input to Sales Manager and stay within assigned budget. (Example: Meals, Phone, Hotels and Vehicle Expense...)
· Identify new business leads and manage follow up system and record keeping on an ACT database.
· Attend sales, management and operations meetings as required.
· Interfacing between clients and operations. (Example: Scheduling, payment collection and other communication as requested.) Return all phone calls and emails within a 24-hour period.
· Assist in the development of new products/services within the sewer and water industries that can better position Visu-Sewer in the marketplace.
· Maintain ACT database, synchronize database, and submit expense reports on a weekly basis.
Compensation: Annual base salary and commission compensation of $120,000 -$150,000 expected. (Base salary of $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience plus commission compensation of $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 expected once established.)
Training: Project site training with field crews to facilitate an understanding of products & services, ride along with select sales representatives in neighboring territories and sales manager in assigned territory, ongoing quarterly sales meetings, sales training seminars and continuing education classes/courses.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
