Medical Assistant – Plastic Surgery Practice
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing plastic surgery practice in West Hollywood, CA.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced surgical environment and is passionate about aesthetics, cosmetic medicine, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain medical histories, vital signs, and photographs
- Assist the physician during consultations, examinations, and minor procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinical supplies
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education
- Coordinate surgical scheduling and pre-operative clearances
- Assist with patient follow-up calls and recovery monitoring
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records
- Perform clinical documentation and chart preparation
- Manage laboratory orders, prescriptions, and medical correspondence
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
- Support both clinical and administrative aspects of patient care
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, ENT, facial plastics, aesthetics, or a related specialty preferred
- Experience with surgical patients and cosmetic procedures is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Experience with EMR systems and medical documentation
