Duties
- Administer peptide injections and related therapies following established protocols, ensuring precise dosage and aseptic technique.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiological evaluations relevant to peptide treatment plans.
- Educate patients on peptide therapy benefits, potential side effects, and post-treatment care, storage, and injection techniques to promote adherence and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) system EMR, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust personalized peptide treatment regimens.
- Monitor patients’ responses during therapy sessions, managing acute pain or adverse reactions effectively.
- Assist with laboratory specimen collection and processing related to peptide therapy monitoring.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in good standing with current state certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology related to peptide treatments.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as E-clincial works for accurate documentation and patient record management.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, IV infusion techniques, aseptic technique, and medication administration including injections.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures including specimen collection/processing and ICD coding standards (ICD-10).
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced outpatient clinic.
