Position: Finish Carpenter
As a Finish Carpenter you will be responsible for working as a part of our finish phase team installing trim, cabinets, flooring, siding and other finish work related to the completion of new home construction. We are looking for a hard working and self-motivated candidate dedicated to upholding the highest standards in constructing a beautiful finished product for our clients in our West Pointe and Circle H communities.

Location:
Our office is conveniently located on Macarthur Drive, just off Butler Creek Road, with easy access to the airport and a short commute from Missoula and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Trim Carpenter Responsibilities:
- Install paint grade and stain grade trim packages throughout new construction single-family homes in process, including base, casing, crown molding, specialty and custom built-ins
- Hang and adjust interior and exterior doors
- Install cabinets, vanities and other specialty products
- Install siding and other exterior finish products
- Review rough-in phase construction and make adjustments, install backing and ensure installation is in line with successful finish phase work
General Responsibilities:
- At Butler Creek Development we expect all team members to be willing to help wherever needed to keep projects moving successfully.
- Complete special projects as assigned by Foreman and/or Project Manager.
- Observe and promote safety and risk management in accordance with local, federal, state, and BCD rules and regulations.
- Perform work in compliance with local code and permitting requirements.
- Generate or update work orders using BuilderTrend and complete necessary work for minor repairs.
- Keep accurate records of time and materials used for work orders.
- Communicate and coordinate directly with homeowners, respecting their space and property during post-construction service work and checks.
- Maintain a supply of parts, materials, tools, equipment, and vehicles necessary for site work.
- Notify management promptly of any conditions requiring immediate attention.
- Evaluate and occasionally oversee work of subcontractors and work with them as needed.
- Assist with cleaning and custodial tasks related to readying units for listing and general site upkeep.
- Maintain and repair equipment, tools, and vehicles used in assigned work in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed, including skid steers, telehandlers, and other equipment related to residential construction.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Reliable Transportation: Required for daily tasks.
- Equipment Handling Skills: Ability to haul/tow equipment, trailers, and materials using company vehicles.
- Clean Driving Record: Must meet the requirements to be added to the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
- Team-Oriented Attitude: Willingness to learn, take direction, and support the team to keep projects on schedule.
