As the Assistant General Manager, you will:
-
Partner closely with the General Manager as their key operational leader and trusted second-in-command
-
Support all aspects of daily hotel operations while ensuring Marriott brand standards are consistently met
-
Collaborate with department leaders to deliver exceptional guest service, quality, and operational performance
-
Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly
-
Recruit, train, coach, and develop department leaders and team members
-
Ensure compliance with company policies, Marriott brand standards, and safety regulations
-
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense control
-
Analyze operational performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability

Conduct property inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards are maintained

Foster a positive, accountable, and engaging team culture

Serve as Manager on Duty and provide leadership during assigned shifts

Previous Marriott hotel experience strongly preferred

Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, Department Head, or similar hotel leadership role

Experience managing multiple hotel departments and operational functions

Knowledge of hotel financials, labor management, and budgeting

Familiarity with Marriott systems, hotel property management systems, and reporting tools

Strong understanding of Marriott guest service standards and hotel operations

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred
This position requires both administrative and operational responsibilities. Candidates must be able to:

Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the property
-
Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
-
Travel between guest areas, meeting spaces, and operational departments
-
Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed

Respond to operational and guest service issues in a timely manner

Maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced hospitality environment
