Work that Matters
At The Cleaning Authority, we believe cleaning homes is about much more than just cleaning homes. To us, it’s about helping people who are overwhelmed, exhausted, aging, recovering, busy raising children, working long hours, or simply trying to keep their lives together. A clean home gives people peace, relief, dignity, and time with the people they love.
That is the kind of work we do.
We're looking for people who take pride in serving others — people with humility, strong work ethic, personal responsibility, and the desire to do meaningful work well even when nobody is watching. This isn't the right job for everyone. It's physically demanding, fast-paced, and requires consistency, professionalism, and reliability every single day. But for the right person, it's deeply rewarding work in a company that genuinely values character, effort, and growth.
What We Offer
- Starting pay of $18.00/hour with regular raises throughout the year
- Top performers can earn up to $22.00/hour within their first year
- Weekly pay
- Paid holidays, paid time off, and paid birthdays
- Keep 100% of your tips
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Traditional and Roth 401(k) options

- A stable, respectful, team-oriented work environment where your work matters
Some of our best team members have backgrounds as CNAs, servers, retail employees, caregivers, hospitality workers, and others who understand what it means to work hard and care for people.
What the Job Looks Like
Our teams clean an average of 3 to 5 homes per day throughout the Janesville, Lake Geneva, Burlington, Whitewater, and surrounding areas. This is active, physical work. Team members regularly:
- Stand and move for most of the day
- Bend, squat, kneel, and reach
- Carry vacuums and cleaning supplies
- Work efficiently while maintaining high standards
Most team members work Monday through Friday, typically between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with occasional later days as needed.
What We Expect
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Outstanding attendance and reliability
- Positive attitude and willingness to work hard
- Ability to work respectfully as part of a team
- Pride in doing quality work
We're not looking for people who simply want a paycheck. We're looking for people who believe service matters, who want to be part of a dependable team, and who understand how you do your work says something about who you are. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
