Full Job Description Overview
Impactful Senior Home Care is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and bilingual Home Care Human Resources Assistant to support our growing home care organization. This role is ideal for an HR professional with hands-on experience in the home care industry, who understands the importance of compliance, employee onboarding, and ongoing staff support in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with home care agencies, human resources processes, and HHA Exchange, and will play a key role in ensuring caregivers and staff are onboarded, maintained, and supported in full compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the full onboarding process for new home care employees, ensuring all required documentation, credentials, and compliance items are completed accurately and on time
- Conduct new hire orientations and support a smooth transition into Impactful Senior Home Care’s policies, procedures, and culture
- Maintain, audit, and update employee personnel files to ensure compliance with internal standards and state/federal regulations
- Manage an active employee caseload, providing ongoing HR support, follow-ups, and status updates
- Utilize HHA Exchange to track onboarding, credentials, compliance, and employee status changes
- Collaborate with management, recruiters, and field staff to ensure onboarding and credentialing requirements are met without delays
- Generate, review, and maintain reports related to onboarding, compliance, audits, and employee records
- Assist with the creation, implementation, and updating of HR and onboarding Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, documentation, and general inquiries
- Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Must have experience in home care, including knowledge of caregiver onboarding and compliance requirements
- Must have prior human resources experience, preferably within a home care or healthcare environment
- Must have experience using HHA Exchange
- 1–3 years of experience in HR, onboarding, compliance, or employee administration
- Strong understanding of HR compliance, audits, and personnel file management
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and approachable demeanor
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Excel, and general administrative software
- Dependable, mature, and capable of working independently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
