Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate orders using POS systems and relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process cash and card transactions accurately, including sales transaction processing and handling tips
- Upsell menu items such as specialty cocktails, wines, or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, stations, and service areas through bussing and sanitation practices
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, cocktails, and menu items based on guest preferences
- Ensure food safety standards are met during food handling, serving, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including cash handling and inventory checks
- Foster guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly to guarantee satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing bills
- Culinary experience or food industry background is beneficial for understanding menu components and food safety practices
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and proper serving etiquette
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
