Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced CPA, Accountant, or Auditor to join our public accounting firm in Beckley, WV. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of accounting and auditing experience and be comfortable working with individual and business clients.
This position will involve a mix of tax preparation, accounting, financial statement preparation, and audit/review work depending on the candidate's experience. We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable communicating directly with clients.
Duties
- Prepare individual and business tax returns
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Assist with Audits, Reviews, and Compilations
- Review general ledgers and client accounting records
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist clients with bookkeeping and QuickBooks issues
- Research tax and accounting questions
- Communicate with clients regarding tax, accounting, and financial matters
- Maintain organized workpapers and documentation
- Manage multiple client projects and deadlines
- Assist other team members as needed during tax season and throughout the year
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Public accounting experience preferred
- CPA license preferred, but not required
- Experience preparing individual and/or business tax returns
- Audit, Review, and Compilation experience
- Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with clients
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
