Pikes Peak Pristine Cleaning is expanding our contractor cleaner network in the Colorado Springs area.
We are looking for experienced cleaners only who are reliable, detail-oriented, coachable, and interested in growing with a local cleaning company that has steady work opportunities throughout the summer.
This is a 1099 contractor position. It is not full-time immediately, but for the right cleaner, there is strong room to grow. As you demonstrate reliability, quality, speed, professionalism, and the ability to follow instructions, we can offer more assignments, larger jobs, higher-responsibility cleans, and increased earning opportunities.
For a strong cleaner, work may grow to approximately 2–5+ days per week, depending on your availability, location, performance, and client demand.
Why this may be a strong opportunity:
- Weekly cash or electronic pay
- Same-day or weekly payment depending on the job schedule
- Flexible contractor-based assignments
- Opportunity to earn more as you prove yourself
- Bigger jobs and higher-detail work available for strong performers
- 100% of tips kept on independently completed jobs
- Fairly shared tips when working as part of a team
- Opportunity to grow into Senior Cleaner or Lead Cleaner assignments
- Potential to eventually manage your own recurring assignments or team-based cleans
- Opportunity to build consistent work with a local company that values quality and reliability
We are currently looking to start with 1–2 trial assignments, which may include a full-house deep clean, Airbnb turnover, or residential maintenance clean. Quality will be reviewed by a Pikes Peak Pristine lead, manager, or owner, and feedback will be provided.
Additional work will be offered based on performance. The better you do on your first assignments, the more opportunities we can consider assigning.
Opportunities may include:
- Residential maintenance cleans
- Full-house deep cleans
- Airbnb and short-term rental turnovers
- Detailed staging and reset work
- Client-specific checklist completion
- App-based job notes, access instructions, and check-in/check-out procedures
- Working alongside a lead, manager, or owner during training, support visits, and quality reviews
Airbnb and short-term rental work requires strong time compliance, especially when same-day guest check-ins are scheduled. Some properties have very specific staging and reset requirements, so the ability to read, understand, and apply detailed instructions is essential.
Reliability expectations:
Because many of our cleans are scheduled around client access, team assignments, and same-day guest check-ins, reliability is extremely important. Once a contractor accepts an offered job, they are expected to show up on time, prepared, and complete the assignment as agreed.
We understand emergencies happen, but last-minute cancellations, no-shows, or unreliable communication can cause serious issues for our clients, team, and schedule. Contractors who cancel last minute, fail to show, or do not communicate professionally may not be offered additional assignments.
We are looking for cleaners who take accepted jobs seriously and understand that reliability is just as important as cleaning quality.
What we are looking for:
- Experienced cleaners only
- Reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong time management
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions
- Professional appearance while onsite
- Coachable attitude
- Willingness to correct items immediately when reviewed
- Ability to work independently once expectations are clear
- Strong reliability, especially on initial assignments
- Pride in providing high-quality cleaning work
Cleaning insurance is preferred but not immediately required. Contractors are expected to provide their own cleaning products, supplies, gloves, and basic tools. Gloves are required and must be worn while cleaning. Product recommendations can be provided before a first assignment if needed.
Helpful tools include:
- O-Cedar mop system or similar
- Cleaning product caddy/carry case
- Vacuum
- Basic residential cleaning tools
- Professional work attire
Pay and growth opportunities:
All contractors begin with Pikes Peak Pristine as a Jr. Cleaner, regardless of prior experience. Jr. Cleaner trial and training assignments start at a minimum of $15.50+/hour equivalent. This means any job offered at the Jr. Cleaner level will be structured to pay at least $15.50/hour equivalent or more. We do not offer contractor assignments below that minimum.
As reliability, quality, speed, professionalism, and independence are demonstrated, contractors may be offered opportunities to grow into Senior Cleaner assignments at a minimum of $18+/hour equivalent and Lead Cleaner assignments at a minimum of $20+/hour equivalent.
These rates are minimum earning floors, not caps. Strong performers may be offered jobs above these amounts depending on the size of the clean, level of detail, travel area, timeline, responsibility, and client requirements.
Deep cleans, higher-detail jobs, and higher-responsibility assignments may pay more depending on the scope, expectations, and role assigned.
Cleaners who complete jobs independently keep 100% of their tips. When working as part of a Pikes Peak Pristine team, tips are shared fairly between the assigned cleaners.
Most work is currently in Colorado Springs, especially Central Colorado Springs through Briargate, with many jobs in Northeast Colorado Springs. We also service areas such as Manitou Springs, Woodland Park, Cascade, Divide, Monument, Parker, and nearby communities depending on scheduling and client needs. We try to schedule contractors in their own area as much as possible.
