Responsibilities
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to ensure textiles are cleaned efficiently and thoroughly.
- Handle laundry materials with care, including sorting, folding, pressing, and organizing linens and clothing items.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks using push carts or other equipment to transport linens and laundry loads safely.
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly using laundry detergents, stain removers, and cleaning agents while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with the collection and distribution of clean textiles throughout the facility, ensuring timely delivery for guest use or housekeeping needs.
- Follow safety procedures consistently during manual handling tasks to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with safety standards in production environments.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests related to laundry services or textile needs, fostering a positive experience for staff and guests alike.
Experience
- Prior experience in cleaning or laundry operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided for all new team members.
- Basic math skills are helpful for measuring detergents and calculating load capacities accurately.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to industrial laundry equipment and textile handling is advantageous.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy items regularly while maintaining proper posture.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation, garment care, and quality control throughout the laundry process.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and respond courteously to customer inquiries.
