Regional Multicultural Magnet School (RMMS) is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our Student Support Services team and help students in Grades 2-7 thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Why This Role Is Different
As an Intervention Specialist, you are an active member of a multidisciplinary team helping students overcome barriers to learning and develop the skills needed for greater independence and success.
You will:
Provide targeted academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions
Support students individually and in small groups
Help develop organization, self-regulation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Implement intervention plans and accommodations aligned with student needs
Collect student data and monitor progress
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, families, and support staff
Foster positive behavior and inclusive learning environments
Build meaningful relationships that promote student confidence, resilience, and engagement

Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
Associate's Degree, completion of at least 60 college credits, or Bachelor's Degree; OR
High School Diploma and successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment.
Preferred qualifications include:
Experience working with elementary or middle school students
Experience supporting academic, behavioral, social-emotional, or executive functioning needs
Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical practice
Physical Requirements
Ability to actively support students throughout the school day
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
Ability to complete required de-escalation and crisis intervention training
