Position: High School Resource Room Teacher
Job Summary:
The High School Resource Room teacher provides specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The teacher collaborates with general education staff, parents, and support personnel to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations, modifications, and interventions that promote academic achievement, independence, and post-secondary success.
Qualifications:

State of MI teacher certificate with an endorsement in special education.

Learning Disabilities Endorsement preferred.

High School experience preferred.

Ability to facilitate an IEP and complete necessary paperwork.

Possess an understanding of the state and federal special education rules and regulations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators

Ability to foster a positive classroom environment and build strong relationships with students and parents.
