Duties
- Manage all aspects of elder neglect litigation cases from inception through resolution, including filing lawsuits, discovery, negotiations, and trial preparation
- Conduct detailed legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay current on relevant laws and regulations
- Draft persuasive pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents with precision and clarity
- Advocate vigorously for clients in settlement negotiations or courtroom proceedings to secure favorable outcomes.
- Maintain meticulous case records and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements
- Stay informed on updates in elder law.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in elder neglect or abuse litigation preferred; strong background in civil litigation required
- Exceptional research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw for case development and legal analysis
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft clear, compelling legal documents
- Strong negotiation skills to facilitate settlements that prioritize client interests
- Legal administrative experience including managing case files and documentation efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while managing multiple complex cases under tight deadlines
