Job Description:
Zimmerer Rental is currently seeking a energetic and results driven Outside Rental Salesperson. Zimmerer Rental is comprised of six locations across the DFW Area, with a substantial and growing fleet of rental equipment this is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned sales veteran to grow our book of rental business in one of the fastest growing metros in the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Rental Sales in the Field: Actively work the DFW market to win new business, selling on job sites, in customer offices, and out in the community. This is a boots-on-the-ground role focused on face-to-face selling and building a territory.
- Close Short- & Long-Term Rental Agreements: Quote, negotiate, and close both spot rentals and large, long-term agreements with commercial and enterprise accounts, growing the overall book of business.
- Build & Expand the Customer Base: Proactively prospect for new opportunities, develop a pipeline of rental customers, and guide prospects through the credit application process to establish new accounts.
- Own Customer Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for your accounts — understanding their equipment needs, keeping them on rent with the right machines, and earning repeat and referral business.
- Partner with the Branch & Coordinator Team: Work closely with rental coordinators and branch staff to ensure equipment availability, accurate rates, and smooth delivery and pickup so customers get a seamless experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales in the equipment rental industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with rental equipment and its various applications is highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to work in the field 4 to 5 days a week.
