We are looking for a (2nd shift) Machine Maintenance Lead to join the team at our Norridge, IL location. Please note, this is a full-time, 2nd shift position (3:15pm - 11:45pm, Monday - Friday).
General Summary
Responsible for maintenance and daily operations of casting machines, process parameters, sampling, process development and casting quality, as well a liaison between shifts.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support maintenance technicians on 2nd shift in a fast-paced die casting manufacturing environment.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment up to 480V.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Diagnose machine failures and coordinate repairs to quickly restore production.
- Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout and all safety requirements.
- Maintain, upgrade, and improve die casting equipment and related systems.
- Develop and maintain maintenance procedures and standard work practices.
- Train, coach, and support maintenance team members.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain maintenance inventories and recommend replacement parts as needed.
- Communicate equipment status, repairs, and priorities effectively between shifts.
