At Loma Tex-Mex, we believe the first 30 seconds of a guest's visit define their entire experience. As our Hospitality Host, you are more than a greeter; you are the \Ambassador\ of our brand. You manage the pulse of the dining room, ensuring our guests feel seen and valued from the moment they walk in until their final \thank you\ on the way out.
-
Hospitality: You don’t just \seat\ people; you welcome them into our home. You anticipate needs—spotting a stroller that needs a high chair or a birthday group that needs a little extra space—before the guest even asks.
-
Integrity: You manage the seating chart with total honesty and fairness. You follow our rotation to support our servers and keep the kitchen from being overwhelmed. You do the right thing, even when the lobby is packed.
-
Grit: You are the \cool head\ during the Friday night rush. You can handle a 45-minute waitlist with grace, stay organized when three phones are ringing, and move with urgency to help the team whenever there's a gap.
-
Air Traffic Control: Manage the floor flow using OpenTable, balancing guest wait times with server capacity and kitchen pace.
-
The First Impression: Greet every guest with genuine warmth. Manage the entryway to ensure it remains clean, organized, and welcoming.
-
The Hand-Off: Escort guests to their tables, present menus with a brief \story\ of our casual fine-dining approach, and introduce their server by name.
-
Communication Hub: Handle phone inquiries and reservations with professional etiquette. Act as the vital link between the front door and our operation.
-
Team Support: In a grit-based culture, no one stands still. During lulls, you’ll assist with polishing glassware, resetting tables, or running chips and salsa to keep the momentum going.
-
Presence: A polished, professional appearance and a confident, well-spoken demeanor.
-
Tech-Savvy: Experience with modern reservation systems (preferred) and the ability to learn quickly.
-
Stamina: Ability to stand and move with purpose for 6–8 hours.
-
Certifications: Valid TABC and Food Handler certifications.
-
The \Grit\ Factor: A proven ability to stay calm, kind, and organized when things get loud.
-
Professional Growth: We treat our Hosts as future Leaders. You will learn the \business\ of restaurant logistics here.
-
Culture of Respect: We hire people who care about each other as much as the guests.
At Loma Tex-Mex, we understand that our success depends on the dedication and passion of our team members.
